All medicinal essences, also known as essential oils are referred to as devas—they are part of the divine feminine energy from the plants and trees.
Essential oils can help balance and support the body to heal itself. Research has shown that essential oils help us fight infection, contain balancing compounds and aid regeneration. They possess anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties
Pure medicinal essential oils offer amazingly versatile gifts for healing. Working with these essences, I am often able to address my patients’ vision and health problems and help them with deeper issues as well. Because of the complexity of these essences, they are useful for a great many conditions, offering healing in the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms.
Medicinal essences can be applied to help reduce symptoms, and they can also be used in ritual or ceremony, or to anoint each other as an act of love. I have used them to work with specific physical and emotional problems, to soften the survival response and subconscious belief systems, and to help people reconnect with Earth Mother. Used correctly, essential oils are powerful healers on all levels. Always be sure you know that the essences you are working with are of high quality. The source of your essences is very important in medicinal applications. Each essence contains different active chemical ingredients, known as chemotypes, each of which has a specific influence on the plant. The complexity of the essences allows them to work with a variety of different conditions and represents Nature’s intelligence on a very subtle level.
I purchase my essential oils from a company called Wisdom of the Earth. These are the purest raw essences I can find, with nothing added or removed, so they have the highest vibration possible for healing and for physical and spiritual growth. Using Wisdom of the Earth’s essences to help people with cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and other health problems, I have seen that they offer healing at physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Aromatherapy has been exploited by the corporate world and has now reached fad status, with adulterated or pre-mixed blends of essential oils for sale at every natural food store and new age shop. They may smell nice, but there is very little healing value in these mass produced oils that have been adulterated or diluted and processed into soaps, perfumes, and other products. And as for pre-mixed blends, it is much more effective to use single essences and layer with others when needed. The single essences have a much higher vibration than pre-mixed blends.
I can’t emphasize strongly enough how important it is to use pure raw medicinal grade therapeutic essential oils, whether you are seeking healing or spiritual growth. Unfortunately, the less complex an essential oil, the easier it is to adulterate. And the more expensive or scarce an essential oil, the higher the seduction for adulteration. The main consumers of adulterated oils are perfumers, producers of aromatics, and the soap industry. The international flavor market also accepts adulteration because it is solely profit-oriented. As long as oils for aromatherapy represent a tiny fraction of the world production of essential oils, the danger of bad quality oils in aromatherapy will continue.
Let’s get to the discussion of Black Cumin.
She has been held in high regard for thousands of years. In ancient times, the pharaohs used as a healing plant and a vital ingredient as a digestive aid, reducing colds, headaches, toothaches, and infections. She is cultivated in North Africa and likes to grow in hot dry climates with sandy soil. Black Cumin has a very high therapeutic effectiveness. With its cultivation, harvest and extraction she is a powerhouse that contains active ingredients include 21 percent protein, 35% polyunsaturated fats, 38% carboydrates, She contains Beta-carotene, (I have used her in my hair after a shower), Selenium assisting in chelating out of the body heavy metals, Magnesium which helps facilitate heart, nerve, muscle transmissions and improves enzyme activity. I have used Black Cumin to brush my teeth and she helps with teeth and gum health . She also contains Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Zinc
She is a bronchodilator, and helps with asthma and whooping cough. She also has EFA’s, including, alpha linoleic acid. Alpha-linolenic acid is an essential omega-3 fatty acid. It is called “essential” because it is needed for normal human growth and development.
Alpha-linolenic acid is popular for preventing and treating diseases of the heart and blood vessels. It is used to prevent heart attacks, lower high blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and reverse “hardening of the blood vessels” (atherosclerosis). There is some evidence that alpha-linolenic acid from dietary sources might be effective for all these uses except lowering cholesterol.
Alpha-linolenic acid is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA), multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus, diabetes, renal disease, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease.
Black Cumin facilitates and helps as an antiviral, reduces skin rashes, especially conditions like dermatitis and cellulitis—discuss Charly’s case around the eyes, helps improve the immune system. She supports the endocrine, cardiovascular balance and improves prostatis. She also can help reduce allergies,, eczema and hives. I have used her as an adrenal support as she can help relieve stress and improve energy on a cellular level.
How to apply medical essential oils
Therapeutic grade essential oils can be applied topically, taken sublingually and orally, or even applied vaginally or rectally.
Please be gentle when first starting to use medicinal essences. I like to start by breathing in their aroma and then take as much time as necessary to feel what my body does with the energy. The more we slow down, the more we can connect to our own rhythms, and this practice helps us nourish and reconnect to our depleted selves.
I use her 3 ways:
Inhalation, Bronchitis, Strep Throat, Sinus Colds and Flu
Topical—on area of concern, as eye compress for dry eyes, and eye infections, floaters, Hair, skin, nails,
On hemorrhoids
Orally—drink in water, make a tea
