Healing the Eyes Through Good Nutrition
This past week I have been leading a retreat called The Hidden Messages Behind Your Eyes. I have observed some amazing changes with people not only around their vision but overall health. Part of our practice has been using the Taoist philosophy called the Wu Wei. an important concept in Taoism that literally means non-action or non-doing. In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu explains that beings (or phenomena) that are wholly in harmony with the Tao behave in a completely natural, uncontrived way. Because our culture teaches to be over-focalized in our seeing, this way of using our eyes creates such tension in our bodies and we don’t even realize it. We become exclusionary in our seeing as we over identify with the object and block our peripheral vision.
Part of our work is dissolving old complexities and a new vitality can emerge. Fear will step back when we make one new movement. If we cultivate our inner resources we then have the capacity to take in the whole instead of seeing through a hole. As we shift reference point, we can then loosen our personal identification, our personal history—we become less fixated and can see more of the whole.
So in today’s show I want to discuss some of
- Phytochemicals
Add phytochemicals (anti-oxidants and other chemicals found in plants) to your diet! A diet high in phytochemicals creates more oxidation and hydration on a cellular level, and this increases energy production in the mitochondria.
- Herbs
Herbs contain more phytochemicals than vegetables and are very beneficial for all levels of healing.
- Vegetables And Fruits Great For The Eyes
- Probiotics, Enzymes, and Other Food-Healing Tips
- For Better Vision and Health.
