As a start to this podcast, I apply Spikenard Medicinal Essential Oil to my third eye. I would like to tell you a little about this deva. This essential oil is blue green in color. Sometimes referred to as “Nard”, Spikenard is very relaxing and sedating. As in other medicinal essences, Spikenard offers the possibility of more harmony, and can really help open up our dream state. Since I am going to be talking about the three levels of vision today, Spikenard is a supportive ally in this podcast.
I am going to start off today’s show by talking about the 3 P’s as it relates to our ability to see clearly:
- Pre-occupation
- Preconceived ideas
- Prejudice
Since I have been playing in the field of perception for a long time, I have noticed different obstacles that affect our physical as well as our emotional-psychological eyesight and vision. I will be talking about the 3 levels of vision in this show—and give my perspective on ways to improve our vision.
Level 1 of Seeing: Our survival response, fovea, macular vision
Level 2 of Seeing: See the space between ourselves and the object we are looking at—
Level 3 of Seeing: Can we see by dissolving our projector, and interpreter habit and see everything as a mirror. This means whatever we see is informing us without the 3 P’s, no thought, no story-line, no layer of distortion.
I believe it is very important whenever we are using our eyes, that we first feel our body and its sensations. Can we inclusively feel every part of our body. As you do this practice, can you see everything in your physical visual field and give it all the same attention. This practice occurs as we let go of all our tensions in the body To see with your essential nature is to see with your whole body. That is open to seeing while you are feeling.
If you are suffering any blurriness either from a developing eye disease or deteriorating vision, the breathing practice using the luna breath can be very helpful. The exhale of the breath is used to dust off the mirror of your retina, lens. Eye tensions, numb the eyes and reduce the energy flow. Daily eye relaxation is key for your ability to see
